NYCC

By adam on October 18, 2011

So the New York Comic Con has taken place in….you guessed it….New York…over the past week or so and amongst the ridiculously amazing things announced and released there (The Avengers Trailer), there was also a big drop from our friends Johnny Cupcakes. Going beyond their normal offering, Johnny has now branched out into collectable art toys with the main piece being ‘The Big Kid’, available in several forms; also available were different colour variations of the infamous Cupcake Crossbones which are uniquely scented! crazy! The pre-sale took place at NYCC but I’m sure they will be on general sale soon (if they’re not already).

Brixton

By adam on October 16, 2011

So Brixton was pretty crazy last night!! Was so great to see loads of you representing DBNO, it really means a lot to us so please keep repping! On a personal level it was one of the best YMA6 performances I’d seen in a long time. As Josh said earlier in the week, he’s off to you lucky people in the USA for 5 weeks with Mayday Parade, but there was time for him to enjoy one last cheeky drink vibe last night…

Hey guys, just wanted to give you all a heads up in regards to some things i’m enjoying at this point in time. The Big Roar by The Joy Formidable is currently my jam! Check out ‘The Cradle’ and ‘ A Heavy Abacus’. Absolutely amazing!

I just got done watching this movie called ‘Weekender’, set in England during the early 90′s when teens were holding and attending raves in dilapidated warehouses. It stars one of my favourite young british actors, Jack O’Conell, you’ll recognise him from stuff like Eden Lake and Skins. For fans of The Business and films of that ilk!

Cheers to everyone hitting up this tour so far, Brixton tomorrow and then America for 5 weeks with Mayday Parade, see you then!!

Keep picking up our new stuff, I’ve been repping ‘On the Beach Sunset’ tee for everyone asking!

iphone 4S

By adam on

So if you guys think you have to show up early to get a good spot in the queue for a YMA6 show, the new iphone 4S launch today took it to the next level!! Check out the line up outside the Covent Garden store in London this morning…

Literally unreal!! Apple staff applauding you when you go in or out of the store is a nice touch though and there were some fitting tributes to the recent passing of Steve Jobs so good vibes all round. Brixton show tomorrow, looking forward to it, I’ve heard amazing things about all the shows so far so I’m sure this won’t disappoint. Tweet us and give us the vibe on what DBNO you’re gonna be wearing!!

Also watch this space for a pretty special offer/surprise later on tonight that’s valid for this weekend only!!

Video Games

By adam on October 12, 2011

The guys play in Leeds tonight so anyone going to the show, hope you’re enjoying it right now! Let me know how it is! Myself and good friend Tibbin DJ’d last night, big vibes as always; you may have seen him as the YMA6 tour DJ on the previous ‘Hold Me Down’ tour back in December last year. You can check his sets and tunes out via twitter @TibbinakaTibbin. Anyway! The point of this is…. I ended up missing Lana del Rey on Jools Holland last night so here’s her performing ‘Video Games’, if you haven’t heard her before definitely get into it!
